The 3^rd World Intelligence Congress was held in Meijiang Convention and Exhibition Center in Tianjin from May 16^th to 18th. Around 1,400 scholars and entrepreneurs from more than 40 countries and regions attended the congress. President Han Xu delivered a keynote speech on the topic of Integrating Education with Economic Growth, Engineering Practice and Social Service: New Development,   which describes the university’s achievement in intelligent equipment. At the same time, Prof. Han initiated a plan to establish HEBUT-Beichen District Research Institute. And the signing ceremony for HEBUT with Beichen District Government was held later. Moreover, a wall climbing robot against leakage developed by HEBUT Special Robot Research Center was then displayed on the congress.

The 3^rd World Intelligence Congress was jointly held by National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), State Administration of Radio Film and Television (SARFT), State Internet Information Office (SIIO), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and Tianjin Municipal Government. Themed by the New Era of Intelligence: Development, Strategies and Opportunities, the congress is a significant event in demonstrating intelligent solutions and applications. The congress consisted of six exhibition zones including Intelligent Transportation, Intelligent Manufacturing, Smart City, Smart Life, Big Data and Research & Innovation. All these made the congress an international four-in one platform (conference, exhibition, competition and intelligent experience).
